Thanks for the comment friend. However, I don't know if just flooding out guns to everyone in Mexico would really solve this. For a start, you are dealing with paramilitary squads from cartels so you would need to form your own to fight them. Some people did, but they became gangsters as well. Most people in Mexico aren't calling for that and want less guns rather than more. But like I say in the story, I am in now way against Americans having guns - just looking at where basic law enforcement fails to allow the cartels and gangs to be so heavily armed. An excellent piece of work. There are gun shops even up here in Ohio that have been investigated by ATF for "back-door sales" that wound up in Mexico. Unfortunately, the big gun manufacturers have made any regulatory action at all extremely fraught and politically incendiary, to keep their profits juiced.
