Yes, it seems tough to be a pastor and compete for status with narcos in modern Mexico - or to be a journalist or anything else. I have talked to a lot of priests who have experienced violence and intimidation in Mexico. Do you know of a lot of pastors who suffer the same? Best there.

That was AG Barr after the election in 2020. The timeline matters: Barr knew as a lame duck Trump was preoccupied with the election, not policy, and took advantage of the situation to help out some old cronies at Langley. I bet (Trump) was never briefed on the matter. Barr is as corrupt as he is incompetent.
