A monstrous idea. Monroe Doctrine on steroids. Next up? Bombing runs on precursor factories in India, in China? Commercial vessels on high seas torpedoed? American servicemen as prisoners of war in Sinaloa? On no level a sane policy or act. Oh, we could always Gaza it up and occupy. Ring Bibi quick!

It is a terrifying prospect, but one we are forced to confront! Or let's see. Al best Gregorio.

That's disgusting. All this under wraps bit, which always eventually comes out. So now he's starting a literal war w/ Mexico, as he's been jonesing for since inauguration.

These are indeed scary times! Let's see if it really means military strikes or it's a threat for negotiation. Although, if people reveal their plans you should take them seriously.

True. With him could be a negotiation threat, though it was revealed in NYT. Seems if he wanted to notch up the begs, he’d subtly or not so subtly bring it up to Sheinbaum. And yes, he’s quite transparent and telegraphs what he’s planning to do, oftentimes.

I could see that more likely in Venezuela than Mexico - although in Mexico it could be the threat to make the Mexican government give up an accused official.

He is certainly an unpredictable one. I think we can all agree on that one!
