US Revokes Visa Of AMLO's Son
Andy López Beltrán calls decision "Hitlerlerian" and suggests Trump fire Marco Rubio
The United States has revoked the visa of Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, known as Andy, the son of former Mexican president AMLO, Andy revealed on Thursday evening when he posted a furious letter to President Donald Trump on Instagram. In the letter, Andy called the move political and “Hitlerian” (meaning Hitler-like), and said it came from a “sick conservative phobia” against Mexico’s ruling populist leftist Morena party, which Andy is in.
Andy, 40, the second son of AMLO, served as the Morena organization secretary and is reported to be heading to be a federal deputy next year. In the letter, he said there was no reason to cancel his visa and suggested Trump fire Secretary of State Marco Rubio and undersecretary Christopher Landau, who he called the “quita visa,” or “visa snatcher.” However, he added that he didn’t care that he couldn’t fly north of the Rio Grande. “Señor President, it doesn’t cause me any problems not visiting the United States in these decadent unfortunate times of hatred, racism, drug addiction, family breakdown,” he wrote.
The move comes as the U.S. State Department is reported to have canceled the visas of dozens of Mexican politicians, many from Morena, amid accusations of links between officials and organized crime. The U.S. attorney general’s office revealed…
